For the course of EMAF 2018, several locations in the inner city of Osnabrück were made available to artists to install their work or interact with. One of these was a former shopping arcade, emptied of most of its former stores and facing an undefined future.
Mirrors have been replaced by photographs, conceiling one view frozen in them. A dying shopping arcade is not made for visitors. The glass roof of the arcade, once designed to let in light, is stained with moss, and abandoned decorative objects, already out of fashion when they appeared, testify to the fact that nothing was ever meant to stay here for long.
